FotodioX L-35-MCR-AF Overview
Turn existing lenses to macro lenses with the 35mm Automatic Macro Extension Tube from FotodioX. Featuring an L-mount on the front and rear, it sandwiches in between your camera and lens. By placing distance between your camera and lens, it causes the focusing distance of your lens to be shortened, resulting in a magnification of your subject.
Because the tube installs between your camera and lens (rather than attaching to the front), and because no optical components are added into this extension tube, the original optical quality of your lens is maintained. The extension tube also communicates all electronic information from the lens to the camera, including auto-focus and auto-exposure. Also, you can combine this tube with an additional 15 or 35mm tube to further extend the focusing distance of your lens.
Adding this extension tube increases the effective aperture, reducing the amount of light entering the camera. This means you will need to use either a longer shutter speed or higher ISO to compensate for the loss of light. If your camera is set to an automatic exposure mode, it will take care of this automatically.
