JJC F-BD Series Black Diffusion Filters are specially designed for digital cinematography and video. The filter helps reduce the value of the highlights while softening the overall contrast, creating a slightly reduced pearlescent halo around highlights that looks like it was taken with high-quality vintage lens. The filter works great for smoothing out unwanted blemishes, wrinkles or other details in a subject's face while keeping the general image in focus to enhance a subject's appearance further produce a desired effect.
Constructed from professional AGC HD optical glass with 28-layer coatings, the filter is anti-glaring. It effectively reduces reflection from both the ground and the filter itself, ensuring less than 0.5% ultra-low reflectivity. It is water-resistant, anti-scratch, anti-fingerprint, anti-static and oil-resistant. The aircraft-grade aluminum alloy filter frame measures only 0.14"/3.5mm in thickness and is durable and lightweight. It is slim enough to prevent vignetting with wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
JJC F-BD Series Black Diffusion Filters come in 1/2 and 1/4 two densities. 1/2 density is for a moderate effect, while 1/4 density is for an understated effect.
The package comes with a moisture-proof filter case to better protect the filter when it is not used.

Note:
1. The Black Diffusion Filter normally has four densities, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and 1. The higher the filter density, the more obvious softening effect the filter achieves.
